About Course

Free for now. This course is still being compiled – lessons, photos and charts are being added as we go – so it is free while it grows.

Kasuti is the counted-thread embroidery of north Karnataka: no tracing, no knots, and – done well – the same on both sides of the cloth. This course takes you from what Kasuti is to stitching a small pallu panel of your own, in short lessons with clear diagrams and four practice projects.

It is built from our ebook Kasuti – The Complete Encyclopedia, which remains the full reference.

Made by Dreams & Designs, Basaveshwaranagar, Bengaluru – where we stitch Kasuti trousseau pieces and teach Kasuti in the studio.
